In Florida, we are within the home range of alligators and crocodiles and while it is possible to see either while paddling, it is also extremely rare. Alligators prefer fresh water so they are not likely to present in our paddling area since the water is salty or brackish depending on the location. We currently have a very small population of crocodiles in South Florida and they are very shy in general so seeing them while paddling is rare. The biggest danger to paddlers is dehydration especially during the summer months.

Our guides look at the weather forecast, tides, and winds before every tour. They will make the final call. Cancellations occur due to lighting or any condition that our guide deems is unsafe for paddling such as strong winds.
